Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic - 1975

The cover design was originally planned to feature a teddy bear sitting in the middle of an attic, with a slit wrist and stuffing scattered all over the floor. They decided, in the end, to put all of the animals in instead. Waiting for children to come back.

The band had one illustrator in mind that could give what they wanted: fashion and children’s book illustrator Ingrid Haenke. She created the 'watercolor on board' which finally became one of Aerosmith’s biggest and most recognized albums of all time.

The painting represents the album title and the title track. And with a dose of 'psychological' thoughts of the band it has also connections with the back cover.
